FREAKISH SPEED, POWER AND CONTROL.

Get your freak on in Giannis Antetokounmpo's debut signature shoe, Nike's first ever for the international basketball sensation. The Zoom Freak 1 has the extra-responsive cushioning, forefoot lockdown and multi-directional traction needed to complement his freakishly athletic game.

Double-Stacked Cushioning

2 Zoom Air units stacked on top of each other provide extra cushioning for hard impacts and extra responsiveness for getting back down the court.

Forefoot Lockdown

Internal bands lock down over the forefoot when you lace up, helping to keep you stable and fully contained.

Multi-directional Traction

The geometric traction pattern provides grip for quick stops, starts and changes of direction on the court. A section of the outsole is inspired by roses in remembrance of Giannis' late father.

Family First

Family is what's most important to Giannis. Design details on the midsole and outsole honour his parents and four brothers.

Freaky Swoosh

It's not every day you see one of the world's most recognisable symbols reversed. But when it came to Giannis's 1st shoe, the Greek Freak wanted it to be a little—you guessed it—freaky, so we flipped it around and made it sparkle.

More Benefits

  • A rubber clip extends from the outsole up the side for lateral support.
  • The padded collar helps lock you in at the heel.

Employee of the Month

Back in '88, Prince Akeem came to the Big Apple from Zamunda, quickly making a name for himself as employee of the month at Giannis's favourite fictional fast-food joint. Like Prince Akeem, Giannis left his home in Greece with the same drive that earned him the MVP title. Now, Giannis and Nike are shaking up All-Star Weekend by serving up some heat with a secret recipe and a side of fries.
