LAKERS TARGETING TWO VETERAN FOR TEMPORARY REPLACE DEMARCUS COUSINS POSITION
The Los Angeles Lakers is aiming at two NBA veterans Dwight Howard and Joakim Noah to fill the place temporarily left by DeMarcus Cousins who suffered a knee injury, American media reported.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the Lakers also glanced at Marreese Speights in the midst of their preparations to appear without Cousins for most of the next season.
Noah (34) proved useful for the Memphis Grizzlies last season after being kicked by the New York Knicks. Noah has played 42 matches for Memphis with statistics averaging 7.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists per match.
Last season Howard fought hard against injury by only playing nine times with the Washington Wizards before undergoing back surgery on 29 November last year. Howard passed a season marked by a series of injuries with the Lakers in 2012-2013 before leaving the status of free agent.
At present he is still under contract with Grizzlies, but Grizzlies probably will not keep him. Speights (32) last played in the 2017-2018 season while still with the Orlando Magic. After that he became the star of the Guangzhou Long Lions in the Chinese basketball league.
